About / Veneran

An editorial space for more considered everyday wellbeing.

Veneran is an independent-style information project based in Tangerang Selatan, bringing together field notes, practical guides, and conversations about movement, rest, food, and shared life.

Why Veneran exists

Many conversations about wellbeing move quickly from a question to a promise. Veneran takes a slower route. We describe the setting, explain the limits, and offer ideas that can be considered alongside a person’s own circumstances. The project is intended for readers in Indonesia and for anyone interested in how climate, work, transport, homes, and community shape daily routines.

Informational

Pages provide context, definitions, observations, and questions rather than personal directives.

Local in detail

We pay attention to neighbourhood routes, tropical weather, public spaces, and the practical texture of life around BSD City.

Open to revision

Dates, links, examples, and language are reviewed as a page develops and as readers identify useful corrections.

From a notebook to a library

Veneran began with a simple editorial question: what would practical information look like if it respected uncertainty? The answer is still developing through conversations with writers, organisers, readers, and people who notice the relationship between their routines and the places they live.

We do not treat a publication as finished merely because it has been uploaded. A useful page can be corrected, clarified, made more accessible, or connected to a better source. That ongoing quality is part of the project’s identity.

How we work with readers

Veneran develops through questions, corrections, suggestions, and local detail. A reader may point out that a route is no longer accessible, that a term has a different meaning in context, or that an image needs a more precise description. These contributions are considered alongside source review and practical constraints.

The project remains deliberately small in tone. We want pages to be easy to understand without flattening the subject, and useful without creating pressure. That means some pages will leave questions open, identify uncertainty, or direct a reader to a more appropriate local source.

  1. Read the scope of a page before sharing it.
  2. Use the contact route for corrections or access concerns.
  3. Include the page title, date, and a concise description of the issue.
“A publication earns its place by being useful after the first impression has passed.”— Veneran founding note
